From the previous class you already know what demi-plié is. Today we’ll talk about grand plié and the first combination at the barre with one hand.
Stand in first position and do arm préparation. Bring the hand from the préparation position through the first and open in the second.
Grand plié is translated as a full knee bend. It’s done by lifting the heels off the floor expect for second position. It strengthens the leg muscles and their elasticity. Knees need to be turned out to the sides to the maximum. Back is strong and tall. The move is quite smooth and done in all leg positions.
