Lesson 4
The breathing of fire (Kapalabhati) helps to:
- Free the lungs and blood vessels from toxins;
- Increase the vital lung capacity;
- Strengthen the nervous system;
- Restore the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, i.e., it balances excitement and inhibition;
- Increase physical endurance and prep for effective actions;
- Reduce craving for alcohol, smoking and unhealthy food;
- Saturate the brain with oxygen to awaken a focused state of mind;
- Activate the immune system.
