The breathing of fire (Kapalabhati) helps to:

  • Free the lungs and blood vessels from toxins;
  • Increase the vital lung capacity;
  • Strengthen the nervous system;
  • Restore the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, i.e., it balances excitement and inhibition;
  • Increase physical endurance and prep for effective actions;
  • Reduce craving for alcohol, smoking and unhealthy food;
  • Saturate the brain with oxygen to awaken a focused state of mind;
  • Activate the immune system.
